Pastor Noel Dear
Dr. Noel Dear has served as Pastor of First Baptist Nacogdoches since 2017 and has been in ministry since 1987. His pastoral journey began as a senior pastor in 1994, and he has had the honor of leading congregations in Mississippi, Alabama, Ohio, and Texas.
Pastor Noel Dear holds a doctrate and his academic background includes studies at Auburn University, Samford University, Liberty University, Southern Seminary, and New Orleans Seminary. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Theology from Liberty University, along with a Master of Arts in Religion and a Master of Divinity Equivalency from Liberty Theological Seminary. Additionally, he holds a Doctor of Ministry and a research-focused Master of Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Dear and his wife, Donna, are proud parents to three daughters—Hannah, Emily, and Rae.
In his free time, Dr. Dear enjoys spending time with his family, reading, preaching, following college football (especially the Auburn Tigers), and engaging in amateur furniture building.
